Nigerian social media influencer and content creator, Mandy Kiss, has responded after facing heavy criticism and a petition demanding her arrest over her controversial sex marathon announcement.
Mandy Kiss’s Viral Sex Marathon Claim
A few days ago, reports surfaced that Mandy Kiss planned to attempt a Guinness World Record sex marathon in Lekki, Lagos. The announcement sparked outrage online, drawing backlash from Nigerians who considered it indecent.
In reaction, the Guinness World Records (GWR) publicly clarified that such an attempt is “not a record they monitor.” This statement further fueled conversations on social media, making the stunt one of the most talked-about topics in Nigeria.
Petition From Iselu Monarch to Governor Sanwo-Olu
The buzz took a more serious turn when the Eselu of Iselu Kingdom, Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, submitted a petition against Mandy Kiss. In his appeal to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the monarch urged that she be arrested for her “shameful and disgraceful” plans, insisting her actions could tarnish Nigeria’s global reputation.
Mandy Kiss Denies Serious Intent
In response, Mandy Kiss posted a video on TikTok claiming that her announcement was nothing more than a publicity stunt. She admitted she cannot afford legal battles and only made the post to gain attention because of low engagement on her social media pages.
According to her, the supposed sex marathon attempt was simply a way to remain in the spotlight, not a genuine record-breaking plan.
Nigerians React Online
The drama has sparked mixed reactions from Nigerians online:
- Prince Moses: “Because she heard about the petition, she should have gone to the cell to complete the marathon there.”
- Ende Obenico: “There’s this particular tribe that always dials wrong numbers.”
- Chidinma Obele: “Hmm 🤔 should we believe you were only catching cruise and decided to involve Guinness World Records?”
- Josephine Alade: “She’s still catching cruise ooo, but reality will soon set in.”
