An 11-year marriage has collapsed after explicit photos exposed an alleged secret affair between Oripa Chapwanya Ngibe (41) and her colleague, identified only as Hora.
The images, which showed Oripa in compromising positions, were discovered by her husband, Kudakwashe Ngibe (51), leaving their relationship in ruins.
Kudakwashe initially turned to church leaders for guidance, hoping to salvage the marriage. Oripa admitted to the affair and apologised, promising to end it, but the relationship with Hora allegedly continued. Last month, Kudakwashe finally left their matrimonial home.
The scandal deepened when Kudakwashe confronted Hora and his wife, Mona. Outraged by the betrayal, Mona demanded access to the nude photos so she could pursue adultery damages against Oripa. Both couples are legally married, intensifying the fallout.
Oripa admitted her wrongdoing but argued her husband’s behaviour worsened matters. “I do not deny that I was involved with Hora until my husband found out. My husband began chatting with his girlfriend in my presence, as a form of revenge, which only added to my guilt,” she said.
For Kudakwashe, the betrayal has been devastating. “We were happily married, sharing our lives and attending church together. I never imagined my wife would betray me,” he said.
He added: “My wife apologised after I discovered the truth, but it felt insincere. She has shown herself to be too immoral to be a wife and mother. Imagine a married woman posing for half-naked photos and sending them to another man, it’s not just wrong, it’s devastating.”
