Social media critic VeryDarkMan has arrived in Odiokwu community, Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State, ahead of the commissioning of a secondary school and clinic funded by Nigerian singer Burna Boy.
The activist shared an update on Instagram, expressing satisfaction with a mural and graffiti created for the project. He disclosed that ₦50 million was spent on the artwork, which features Burna Boy, children and members of the team involved in the initiative.
“We payed 50million naira for this mural and graffiti of @burnaboygram and the kids, myself and that of @winnie820 @imb.crew. I love what you guys did here money well spent…. I LOVE ITTTTTTTTTTT.”
The school and clinic project, located in Burna Boy’s hometown, is scheduled to be commissioned on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The facilities are reportedly valued at ₦250 million, with VeryDarkMan supervising the initiative and Fego Works Limited handling construction.
VeryDarkMan also invited members of the public to attend the event, scheduled for 9 a.m. at Odiokwu Community Secondary School. A football match between Ahoada West and Ahoada East is also planned as part of the activities.
The project has attracted attention online, with some users praising Burna Boy for funding the development and VeryDarkMan for overseeing its execution. Others criticised the activist, questioning his conduct and describing the announcement as an attempt to attract attention.
