Nigerian caterer and chef Omotayo Sanusi, popularly known as Iyan Aladuke, has sparked reactions online following a cryptic message she shared on Instagram.
On Tuesday, October 6, Sanusi, who was formerly married to Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo, took to her Instagram page to share a message that caught the attention of her followers.
She wrote:
“Class in my details. Grace in my presence. Even in my absence, my Alubarika can’t be forgotten.”
Although the post appeared to be a simple statement of confidence, its timing quickly got people talking, particularly because it came around the same period Adebayo unveiled a major new project in the media, cinema, studio and event production space.
Sanusi and Adebayo went their separate ways several years ago. Following their separation, reports had also surfaced about challenges she allegedly faced, including the closure of her restaurant and the loss of the property where the business operated.
Against the backdrop of their history, some social media users began attaching deeper meaning to Sanusi’s latest post.
In particular, her statement about her “Alubarika” not being forgotten even in her absence caught attention. In Yoruba, “Alubarika” refers to blessing, and many followers interpreted the remark as a possible veiled message connected to the developments surrounding her former husband.
However, Sanusi did not directly mention Adebayo or explain who or what inspired the post, leaving her followers to draw their own conclusions.
