Comedienne Anita Asuoha, better known as Warri Pikin, has broken her silence following backlash over her video with singer Timaya.
Newsunplug reported that, over the weekend, the comedienne sparked backlash for disrespecting her husband in a viral video of her and the singer.
In the clip, Warri had jumped on stage to dance with Timaya, who was seen grinding on her, despite her marital status.
Speaking out in a video, Warri said her husband is angry with her and questioned where online in-laws wanted her to go if he divorces her.
She explained that she didn’t know things would turn out like that and was trying not to spoil Timaya’s performance.
Taking full responsibility for her actions, Warri tendered a heartfelt apology, noting that people were genuinely concerned for her.
“Area, abeg make Una no vex for me. I take full responsibility, make Una forgive me. Na me do am to myself; I no know say if Timaya dey perform his ‘Ukwu’ song, e dey bring women come outside. I dey backstage dey vibe when I heard him say a woman should come outside, and you know I love anything vibe, hence why I rushed out o. Na me put myself for this one.
That’s when he told me I would jump on his body, and I said I couldn’t do it. I was very reluctant, but he said I was the one who came outside, so I shouldn’t spoil his performance.
