France national team head coach Zinedine Zidane has explained why he included forward Pablo Pagis in his squad for the November international break.
France will face Italy and Turkey in the Nations League fixtures later this month.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday after announcing his squad for the Nations League, Zidane was asked why he selected Pagis.
The Real Madrid legend replied, “Okay. Pablo Pagis was selected tonight because we had a small issue with Maghnes Akliouche [PSG player].
“He has a minor injury and won’t play this weekend. It’s as simple as that.
