The spokesperson for the Federal Capital Police Command (FCT) SP Josephine Adeh, has advised people to prioritize their wellbeing and safety in relationships.
Adeh gave the advice in a post on Monday, October 5, 2026, emphasizing that no one should endure bullying, harassment or any form of abuse in a relationship.
According to the PPRO, people who are self-sufficient should never compromise their safety and dignity to remain in a relationship.
She encouraged people to know their rights, set healthy boundaries and seek help when needed.
“No relationship should require you to endure bullying, harassment, intimidation or any form of abuse,” she wrote.
“If you work hard and can provide for yourself, never compromise your safety, dignity or peace to remain in a relationship.
“Know your rights. Set healthy boundaries. Speak up and seek help when necessary. Your safety and well, being must always come first.”
