Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested 14 additional suspected terrorist logistics suppliers in Borno State.

12 of the suspects were arrested at Gubio market in Gubio Local Government Area of the state on Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2026 during a targeted operation aided by credible intelligence and a concealed informant.

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with operatives of the Joint Intelligence Fusion Centre (JIFC), also arrested two suspected logistics suppliers to Boko Haram terrorists in Gubio town.

The suspects, identified as Mal Bunu Gojemi and Zanna Alhaji Mallam, were apprehended at about 11:30 a.m. on Saturday during a joint logistics strangulation operation conducted by troops in the area.

The suspects confessed during preliminary interrogation to being long-time suppliers of logistics to the Boko Haram.

Items recovered from them include three mobile phones, a traditional cap, and the sum of N40,000.

“The suspects have since been handed over to operatives of the Joint Intelligence Fusion Centre for further investigation,” the source said.

He added that the operation was carried out without any incident.

The latest arrest brings to 53 the number of suspected terrorist logisticians, couriers and informants captured within the past one week as part of intensified logistics strangulation operations by the theatre command.

According to military source, the sustained operations are aimed at dismantling supply chains sustaining Boko Haram and ISWAP elements across the North-East.

“The operation in Gubio market was intelligence-driven and executed seamlessly, leading to the arrest of the suspects without incident,” the source said.

He noted that preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects played various roles in the supply and movement of items for terrorist groups operating in the region.

The suspects are currently in custody and undergoing further investigation by relevant intelligence units.

The source added that the ongoing operations have significantly disrupted terrorist logistics networks, contributing to the relatively calm but unpredictable security situation within the theatre.

He reaffirmed that troops’ morale and combat readiness remain high, with sustained efforts to deny terrorists freedom of action and access to essential supplies.
