The incident occurred after Verona’s 1-0 loss against AC Milan on Sunday, April 19. The team was condemned to their eighth defeat in nine league fixtures.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Nigerian striker was visibly frustrated after the game and refused to stop for a fan who wanted a photo with him.
The situation escalated when another supporter struck the player’s car, prompting the Nigerian striker to step out of his vehicle. What followed was a heated exchange that quickly turned into a physical clash, with bystanders recording the incident on their mobile phones.
