Nigerian woman shares CCTV footage showing terrified half-dressed residents fleeing after armed robbers invaded her neighbourhood in Owerri

A Nigerian woman, Lolo Ugo, has shared a CCTV footage showing terrified half-dressed residents fleeing to safety after over six armed robbers invaded her neighbourhood in Owerri, Imo state.

Ugo, who shared the clip in a Facebook post on Thursday, June 18, 2026 said the armed robbers raided seven flats and robbed occupants of their valuables before security arrived.

“More than six armed men invaded our neighborhood tonight, robbed seven flats, and escaped with valuables before security arrived,” she wrote.

“The masked men (robbers) in this footage were inspecting the area, while the three people running half-dressed are neighbors fleeing for their lives. The level of insecurity in this country is becoming alarming every day.”
