Abakaliki FC Chairman, Senator Obinna Ogba has called on the players to show more fight following the team’s poor start to the new season.
The Rice Boys were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Calabar Rovers in their opening game of the season last weekend.
Head coach, Ifeanyi Onyedika was suspended following the result.
Ogba urged the players to make supporters proud by their performance.
“If you know how deeply our sports friendly governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, loves and cares for you all, you will improve your performance. Sit up and make our governor and the entire Ebonyians proud,” Ogba told the players.
Abakaliki FC will do battle with Akwa United at the Uyo Township Stadium on Sunday
