The Nigeria National League, NNL, has given Lobi Stars permission to return to the McCarthy Stadium in Makurdi for the second stanza of the season.

Lobi Stars previously adopted the Lafia City Stadium as their home ground for the first stanza of the league.

NNL Chief Operating Officer, Danlami Alanana, stated that the McCarthy Stadium has the minimum requirement that meets the league’s standard after inspections.

“For now we are impressed with the upgrade they have,we visited and have seen what they have”, Alanana stated after the league body visit to the ground.

“Recall the same venue was chosen for the opening match of the season but we had disapprove of it because of their failure to put basic facilities in place. What they have is better.”

Alanana warned that the permission to use the McCarthy Stadium is provisional and can be withdrawn if the Standard is not maintained.

Lobi Stars will welcome Doma United on their return to Makurdi when the second stanza begins this weekend.
