Akwa United head coach, Paul Offor, has commended his players for the response in training ahead of the clash against Godswill Akpabio FC.

Offor encouraged his players to approach the game with determination and seriousness.

Akwa United will lock horns with Godswill Akpabio FC at the Uyo Township Stadium on Thursday.

Our game against Godswill Akpabio FC is a very important one for us. I am very happy with the character and attitude the players have shown in training ahead of this match,” Offor stated in a pre-match interview.

“We have to approach this game like it is a home game for us. That is the mentality I want to see. We have to give the fans a reason to cheer.

“I want us to maintain a top mentality so we can come out with three points, which will be crucial to us achieving our objective this season.”
