Davido’s aide and associate, Isreal DMW, has sparked reactions online after showing off a fully computerised, driverless taxi he booked in Atlanta, United States.
In a video making the rounds on X, Isreal documented the futuristic taxi experience and expressed his amazement at the technology.
Sharing the video, he wrote, “No country like America.”
The driverless taxi immediately attracted reactions from Nigerians, with some users marvelling at the technology while others questioned whether Nigeria could adopt similar innovations.
The development comes days after Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, also documented his experience riding in a driverless Uber in Atlanta.
AY shared a video showing himself inside a Jaguar with no human driver behind the wheel. He explained that he unlocked the vehicle and started the ride using his phone, before the car drove him to his destination on its own.
“I entered Uber in Atlanta… na Jaguar, but driver no dey! Oyibo don use technology make motor drive itself,” AY wrote.
In the video, AY also said, “See, na the car dey drive himself. Na my uber be this. E dey carry me they go.”
He further revealed that he would arrive at his destination within four minutes, adding that he was travelling “All by myself. No driver.”
While Isreal’s post focused on his excitement about the technology, some Nigerians on X used the opportunity to compare the development with what is obtainable in Nigeria and other countries.
