Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has paid tribute to his late colleague, Alex Ekubo.
Newsunplug reported on Tuesday that the light-skinned actor had passed away on Monday, May 11th, after a battle with Cancer and was 40 years old.

In a video on his Instagram page, he described the deceased as a good man who was kind and graceful. He said Alex was the definition of a good man and expressed hurt over his demise.
Kunle said his only consolation is that the late actor knew Christ. According to him, he reached out to Alex but saw that he wanted privacy, respected it and stepped back. He stressed that he respected the privacy he chose because he saw what social media could do.
Kunle Remi added that Nollywood didn’t lose a good man, but was blessed to have experienced him and worked with him.
“Alex Ikuku was a good man. It is weird saying was. He was the definition of a good man. This hurts, but the only thing that gives me joy is that he was a lover of Christ, so he is at peace. Alex is a great man, kind, and he isn’t just light-skinned but also graceful. I respect the privacy he chose because he saw what social media can do. I reached out to him, saw it, respected it and stepped back. My consolation is that he is in Christ.
Nollywood lost a good man. We didn’t lose; we are blessed to have experienced him and worked with him. I am blessed to know him as a friend and brother. If there is anything I have learned, it is to be kind. Your social media followers and bank accounts don’t matter if you aren’t kind. Love Christ and be on His side”.
