Social media commentator Daniel Regha has publicly questioned David Oyedepo after the expiration of the seven-day period the cleric had earlier set while declaring divine judgment against bandits and their alleged sponsors.

Regha reacted online following fresh reports of violent attacks in various parts of Nigeria, raising concerns about the continued insecurity despite the prophecy.

The founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide had made the declaration during a church service themed “Covenant Day of Vengeance,” where he addressed the growing cases of kidnappings and violence across the country. During the sermon, Oyedepo stated that within seven days, those responsible for the crisis would face divine judgment.

However, after the timeframe reportedly passed, Regha expressed doubt over the outcome, noting that incidents of violence were still being reported nationwide.

According to him, multiple attacks allegedly occurred within the past 24 to 48 hours, involving communities in Kogi, Benue, Katsina, Plateau, Ondo, and parts of northeastern Nigeria.

He also pointed to reports of abductions and assaults affecting several communities, questioning why such incidents continued despite the earlier declaration.

In his post, the commentator challenged the effectiveness of the prophecy, asking why the situation appeared unchanged after the seven-day period elapsed.

“Oyedepo declared divine judgment on bandits within seven days, 7 DAYS. This was reported on the 19th of April 2026. Now 7 days has ended, but it’s been one news about bandits attacking after the other.

-Gvnmen just raided a Nigerian orphanage and abducted children.

-Bandits seen on video assaulting a family mercilessly in Kabba-Bunu LGA, Kogi State. TV& Video

-Militants with the Islamic state group attacked a village overnight in Northeastern Nigeria, k’lling at least 29 people.

-Seven residents k’lled as after bandits launched an attack on Benue community.

-Bandits abducted a farm manager in Ondo State.

-Over 11 persons lost with many seriously injured after bandits attacked a Katsina community

-Bandits k’lled a pastor, his wife and two children in Plateau State.

This are just a few headlines in the last 24-48hrs. So what happened to his declaration, and divine retribution? It didn’t work.”
