Shooting Stars technical adviser Nurudeen Aweroro admitted that his team struggled despite the win over El-Kanemi Warriors.

The Oluyole Warriors edged El-Kanemi Warriors by a lone goal at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Sunday.

Ismail Ayodele was on target for Shooting Stars in the game.

Aweroro commended his players for their determination in the game.

“We worked so hard to score more goals but we are contented with the one goal we scored,” Aweroro told 3SCfanstv.

“We had to defend towards the end of the game to preserve our goal, the victory gives us more confidence to ahead of our next game.”

Shooting Stars will be up against the league’s defending champions Remo Stars in a rescheduled fixture on Wednesday.
