Nasarawa United star, Chimezie Victor is full of excitement following the club’s big win over Rivers United, NEWSUNPLUG reports.

The Solid Miners boosted their title hopes with a 4-1 bashing of Finidi George’s side at the Lafia City Stadium on Monday.

Chimezie was one of the goal scorers for Nasarawa United in the game.

It was his second goal for Nasarawa United since joining the club during the mid-season transfer window.

He said the win has given the Solid Miners a lifeline in the title race.

“I feel really excited to score against a team like Rivers United, and my second goal for Nasarawa United since I joined the team in the half of the season,” Chimezie told the club’s media.

“Rivers United are one of the best sides in the NPFL, and I am glad we got the result today, which has given us another lifeline.”

Nasarawa United moved to third position on the table following the win.

The Lafia club will face Kwara United in their next game.
