Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George, has expressed satisfaction with his team’s victory over Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions Remo Stars.
The Pride of Rivers edged out Remo Stars 1-0 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Sunday.
Okon Aniekeme netted the only goal of the game.
Finidi admitted his delight with the outcome of the game.
“It was a good game; we created more chances to score, but that didn’t happen, so we are quite happy with the victory that came in the second half.” Finidi told Rivers United’s media.
Rivers United maintained their four-point lead at the top of the NPFL table with the win.
