Ikorodu City technical adviser, Bright Ozebagbe, has attributed his team’s defeat against Bendel Insurance to carelessness.

The Oga Boys lost by 4-0 to Bendel Insurance at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City on Sunday.

Alex Oweilayefa put up a show as he scored three goals for the Benin Arsenals, while Wisdom Udom was also on the score sheet.

The defeat ended Ikorodu City three-game unbeaten run.

Ozebagbe assured that they will make amends to the lapses identified in the game.

“We were sloppy, and we had chances but we failed to capitalise on them,” Ozebagbe told Platinum news.

“We will try to correct that area that we found ourselves wanting in the game.

“We are not under pressure to win the league we just want to try as much as possible to stay in the race.”

Ikorodu City sit in third position on the league table with 45 points from 28 matches.
