Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side Katsina United have declared a one week break for their players following the completion of the first stanza.

The players and officials are expected to resume back on Sunday, 4 January, 2026 for the second stanza preparation.

The Chanji Boys disclosed this in a statement signed by the Chairman/Supervising Coordinator Alh Surajo Malumfashi and made available to the media directorate after their matchday 19 encounter against Kun Khalifat FC.

Part of the statement reads,”The management of Katsina United FC has declared a one-week break for players, the technical crew, and backroom staff following the completion of the 2025/2026 season’s first stanza,”

“Players, technical crew, and backroom staff are expected to report back to the club camp on or before the stipulated date, as training will commence on Sunday, the 4th of January, 2026.”

Katsina United defeated Kun Khalifat FC 1-0 in Owerri to end the first stanza on a winning note.
