Katsina United and Enyimba produced a five-goal thriller in their Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL matchday 14 encounter in Ilorin on Monday.

It was the hosts who went home with maximum points, courtesy of a 3-2 victory.

Katsina United took the lead through Jamilu Yusuf in the 32nd minute. Uche Collins doubled the lead six minutes into the second half.

Enyimba fought back, with Stanley Dimgba reducing the deficit on the hour mark. Katsina United, however, restored their two-goal advantage two minutes later, with Collins netting his second of the game.

Issah Mohammed ensured a thrilling end to the game by scoring Enyimba’s second goal in the 64th minute.

Elsewhere, Kano Pillars defeated Ikorodu City 2-1 to maintain their survival hopes.

Veteran midfielder Rabiu Ali gave Pillars the lead after three minutes, while Olakunle Alaka doubled it on the half-hour mark. Joseph Arumala reduced the deficit for Ikorodu City late in the first half.
