Shooting Stars assistant coach, Sikiru Lawal, has expressed disappointment in his players over their failure to convert chances in the defeat to Abia Warriors.

Chukwuemeka Obioma’s brace secured the maximum points for Abia Warriors in Umuahia on Sunday.

Lawal admitted that the hosts overpowered his team in the midfield.

He assured that they will work hard to improve on the performance ahead of their next league fixture.

“Unfortunately, we didn’t take our chances and couldn’t get on the score sheet,” Lawal was quoted on OyoSportsNews.

“Where we believed we were supposed to have overpowered them, particularly in the midfield, they ended up dominating us. They really overpowered us in that area, especially in the first half.

“We just have to go back, work harder and make sure we improve in our next games.”
