Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has shared his opinion on why presidential hopeful Peter Obi has not recorded notable political progress in recent times.
In a post on his Twitter page, Edochie claimed that Obi once vowed never to leave the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and also stated that he would not achieve any political success if he ever defected from the party.
According to him, that decision eventually shaped Obi’s political trajectory.
Edochie further expressed surprise that Obi has not reflected on this, stressing that vows and declarations carry weight. He also described Obi’s current political association with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a “waste of time.”
“Peter Obi’s Presidential ambition is tied to APGA.
The party he swore he would never leave.
Peter swore before Ojukwu and Ndi Anambra that he would never leave APGA.
He said he will die with APGA.
He said that if he leaves APGA, he may never achieve anything politically.
He later left APGA.
That’s why he hasn’t achieved anything politically since then.
That’s why people used his name to win elections in 2023 while he, the owner of the name, lost.
I’m surprised he hasn’t realised this.
Oaths are very powerful.
Whatever he’s doing with ADC is a waste of time.
Peter Obi has chances of being President in 2031 after TINUBU, but he can only do it with APGA”.
