The political landscape of Abeokuta South and Ogun Central experienced a significant realignment on Sunday, October 18, 2026, as the ASA Political Movement, a frontline grassroots political group, formally inducted High Chief Abdulhakeem Olabode Mustapha (The 9th Osi of Egbaland) as its Grand Patron.
The landmark investiture commenced by 4pm at the BM’s house, Commissioners Quarters, Housing Ibara, Abeokuta, and marked a strategic step toward building a unified, multi-zone campaign engine for the 2027 governorship election. During the event, the movement formally unveiled its political compass and operational blueprint, and also unveiled a campaign bus centered on driving the election victory of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) across Ogun Central Local Government Areas.
Speaking at the gathering, the Convener of ASA Political Movement, Engr. Abolore Sodrudeen Ayodeji (MSc, PMP, MNSE, Reg. Engr.), highlighted that securing the mentorship of High Chief Bode Mustapha, a veteran administrator, former Member of the House of Representatives, and respected traditional leader, provides the group with the institutional stability and strategic guidance required for high-stakes political mobilization.
“We are not just building a campaign; we are organizing a statewide movement anchored on structured development, political continuity, and accountable leadership,” Engr. Sodrudeen stated.
“High Chief Bode Mustapha’s acceptance to serve as our Grand Patron gives our organization an irreplaceable political compass, bridging traditional administration with progressive grassroots politics.”
In his acceptance address, the newly decorated Grand Patron, High Chief Bode Mustapha, gave high kudos to Engr. Abolore Sodrudeen Ayodeji for his visionary leadership, steadfast commitment, and organizational dexterity in driving the ASA Political Movement. He revealed that Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) himself always speaks exceptionally highly of Engr. Sodrudeen, recognizing his dedication to progressive ideals and grassroots political mobilization.
The metro-wide initiative aims to strengthen party structures across key urban centers and rural wards, uniting Egbaland, Ogun Central, and Ogun State at large behind Senator YAYI’s ITESIWAJU Agenda.
With the formal investiture concluded, the ASA Political Movement is set to roll out precinct-level mobilization teams, ward-based political education programs, and direct voter engagement drives across the capital city and beyond.
