Nollywood actress Damilola Adegbite has shared her thoughts on the changing perception of older women in the dating scene.
The actress noted that society once placed unfair limitations on women as they grew older, particularly when it came to relationships and finding love.
According to her, women who had reached a certain age were often made to feel as though their chances of finding a partner had passed. However, she believes that perception is gradually changing, with older women now receiving more attention and recognition in the dating space.
“There was a time when society made older women feel like once you’ve crossed a certain age, you should basically leave the dating market quietly but now the tables are turning. The older woman who was once overlooked has become the premium package”
Adegbite’s comment highlights the changing attitudes toward age and relationships, as more women continue to challenge traditional expectations about when they should settle down or pursue love.
Her remarks have also sparked conversations about the growing confidence of older women and how societal views surrounding age, beauty and relationships are evolving.
