Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli is honouring her late friend and colleague, Alex Ekubo.
Newsunplug reported on Wednesday that the actor’s body had arrived at his father’s compound at Arochukwu, Abia State. A Wake-keep was held for him, with Ini Edo, IK Ogbonna, Mike Godson, Omoni Oboli, Ayo Makun, and many others in attendance.
On Thursday, June 18th, the actor was finally laid to rest amidst tears.

Taking to her Instagram page, she expressed gratitude to God for the success of his funeral. Omoni announced that in Alex’s memory and to honour his legacy, she is releasing her movie, The First Lady, and donating the proceeds to his family.
Omoni noted how Alex came, saw and conquered. She said he will forever be in her heart and affirmed her love for him.
