Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has once again won the hearts of many with her grand gesture to her ailing colleague, Omotunde Apinke Ogundimu.
Newsunplug reported that in an emotional interview with Biola Bayo, Omotunde had made a passionate appeal to Nigerians for support as she battles Cervical cancer. Opening up on her battle with it, she cried out that the pain is severe.
In a social media post, Omotunde revealed that she woke up to a call from Funke, who prayed for her and sent her a large sum of money.
An overjoyed Omotunde thanked the actresses for praying for her.
“The first call I got this morning was from Funke. I was really surprised cos I wasn’t expecting it.
Chaii! God is just too good to me.
Pls help me pray for Funke Akindele for blessing me this morning towards my cancer treatment; she gave me a huge amount of money ni.
Iya Ibeji, God will never forsake you, Laila.
You will forever continue to grow from strength to strength”.
