Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, has come under fire for engaging in a ‘fight’ with Villarreal defender Santiago Mourino.
Osimhen clashed with Mourino during Galatasaray’s pre-season friendly 2-1 defeat to Villarreal at the weekend.
The Nigerian international was not pleased with Mourino after the Uruguay defender used his body to stop him from getting into a dangerous position in the penalty box at RAMS Park.
Reacting to the incident at his post-match interview, Villarreal head coach, Inigo Perez criticized Osimhen for ‘attacking’ Mourino
He suggested that the former Napoli attacker should have been given a red card and not a yellow card.
”There is not much to say about the football, because the opposing team didn’t come onto the field to play football, but to fight,” Perez said.
”Osimhen attacked our player out of nowhere and only got a yellow card.”
