A South African pastor who previously predicted a date for the Rapture that did not happen has made another startling claim.
South African pastor Joshua Mhlakela, who previously made a failed prediction about the Rapture, is now claiming that the biblical event will take place between October 12 and 13, 2026.
Mhlakela explained that his new date comes from a revised calculation of the biblical Feast of Trumpets, which he now believes occurs in October instead of September.
He had previously set the date for September 23, 2025, a prediction that led some of his followers to sell their homes and quit their jobs.
When that date passed without incident, he claimed the delay was God granting people extra time to repent.
He now insists his initial math was off by a month due to errors in the biblical calendar, backed by personal visions including one involving two full moons.
However, his latest claim continues to draw sharp criticism from fellow religious leaders, such as Pastor Vladimir Savchuk, who noted that picking specific dates directly contradicts Christian scripture.
