Nollywood actress Omotunde Ogundimu has made an emotional appeal to Nigerians for financial support as she continues to undergo treatment for cervical cancer.
The actress revealed that she has been battling the illness since 2024 and said the treatment process has taken a heavy toll on her physically and emotionally.
Ogundimu made the revelation during an emotional interview with media personality Biola Adebayo, which was later shared on social media.
Speaking about her health struggles, the actress described some of the painful side effects she has experienced while receiving treatment.
“I have been battling cervical cancer since 2024. The treatment I received also has side effects, such as my buttock hurting me when I go to urinate,” she said.
The actress became emotional as she spoke about her desire to regain her health and enjoy a more peaceful life. She said the prolonged battle had left her exhausted.
“I just want to be okay. I am exhausted. I want a peaceful life,” Ogundimu said in tears.
With further treatment still required, the actress disclosed that she is facing financial difficulties and appealed to Nigerians and well-meaning individuals to support her.
“I plead with Nigerians to have mercy on me. I still need to be treated. Please have mercy on me. I don’t know who to call or where to get money from again. Please, just help me,” she added.
Following the emotional appeal, Biola Adebayo shared Ogundimu’s bank details and urged members of the public to contribute towards her medical treatment.
