Operatives of the Anti-Cultism Unit of the Osun State Command have arrested a 22-year-old suspected cultist, Ismail Damilare, also known as “Killer,” in the Oke-Odo area of Osogbo.

Upon his arrest, the suspect was found in possession of two locally made pistols, ammunition, and other weapons.

The suspect claimed he was using the arms and ammunition to protect himself.

During interrogation, the suspect claimed to be the Personal Assistant to the Chairman of the Osun State Park Management System, Nurudeen Iyanda, aka Alowonle.

The spokesperson of the command, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed the arrest on Monday, October 20.

“It is true that Ismail Damilare was arrested in the Oke-Odo area of Osogbo yesterday (Sunday) but it is not true that he is the son of Nurudeen Iyanda aka Alowonle. From our investigation, it is clear that he is one of the boys of Alowonle,” the PPRO said.
