Real Madrid have reportedly ruled out selling Endrick despite growing frustration from the Brazilian forward and strong interest from Arsenal and other Premier League clubs.
According to TEAMtalk, Endrick’s representatives held talks with Real Madrid during the international break to discuss the 20-year-old’s situation and his limited opportunities at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The Spanish giants reportedly acknowledged the player’s frustration but made it clear they have no plans to sanction a permanent departure.
Arsenal face problem over Endrick deal
Real Madrid are, however, prepared to consider a January loan for Endrick, provided any agreement is a straight loan without an option to buy.
That stance could complicate Arsenal’s pursuit of the Brazilian, with the Gunners reportedly among the clubs that would prefer a deal giving them the opportunity to sign him permanently.
Tottenham Hotspur are also interested, while Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Fulham are understood to have made enquiries about the forward.
Arsenal are reportedly the strongest Premier League suitors, but Real Madrid’s refusal to include a purchase option could make negotiations difficult.
Endrick’s frustration has increased after he struggled for regular playing time under José Mourinho. He featured in all three of Brazil’s matches during the international break against Australia and India, accumulating more minutes for his country than he has managed for Real Madrid over the previous 12 months.
Milan and Roma emerge as loan options
Endrick’s representatives reportedly expressed concern about his position in the Madrid squad, where competition for attacking places has made it difficult for him to establish himself.
Real Madrid believe a temporary move could provide the youngster with the regular football he needs without giving up control of his long-term future.
AC Milan and Roma are currently understood to be leading the race for his signature, with both clubs reportedly comfortable with Real Madrid’s preferred loan structure.
The prospect of playing regularly in Italy is also said to appeal to Endrick, particularly as he looks to regain his form and confidence.
The Brazilian had been committed to staying at Madrid after returning from a successful loan spell at Lyon, but his lack of opportunities has changed the situation.
