Nigerian media personality Roby Ekpo has responded to the cease-and-desist order issued by his ex-wife, Mayowa Lambe.
Hours ago, Mayowa issued a cease-and-desist order against her ex, Roby Ekpo, accusing him of making false and defamatory statements. She said there was no existing marital relationship, and there was verifiable evidence contradicting his claims. Her cease-and-desist order demanded that the media personality stop all defamatory statements, take down any false content, issue a public retraction and apology, and pay N100 million in damages.

Responding to it, on his Instagram page, he shared screenshots of his suit to her, maintaining that every statement he made was based on his personal experiences, his understanding of events, and matters he reasonably believed to be true.
His lawyers stated that her demands, particularly the request for N100 million in damages, are viewed as excessive, unfounded, and premature. His lawyers added that the media personality is prepared to join issues with their client before a competent court of competent jurisdiction.
The suit added that the attempt to impose a two-day ultimatum was unreasonable and inconsistent with established legal practice, especially in a matter of such nature involving disputed facts.
