Former Real Madrid defender, Ezequiel Garay has joined the GOAT (greatest of all time) debate between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi that has been ongoing for over 15 years now.
Garay picked Messi over Ronaldo, insisting that the Inter Miami forward is something else.
Speaking on DAZN, Garay said when asked if Ronaldo is the GOAT ahead of Messi, “No.
The ‘1’ is Leo Messi and the ‘2’ is Cristiano. Leo is something else.”
Garay played 23 games with Ronaldo during their time together at Real Madrid.
He also played 41 games with Messi for Argentina U20 and senior national teams.
