A joint security team have successfully rescued the remaining 13 passengers who were abducted by bandits on Wednesday nightt, April 15.

The victims were abducted along the Makurdi-Otukpo road in Benue State. They were said to be travelling in a Benue Links bus from Makurdi to Otukpo when the vehicle was attacked.

‎The state Commissioner of Police, Ifeanyi Emenari, confirmed their rescue to newsmen, and said they will be brought to the state capital later today where a press conference is expected to be held.

They were initially thought to be JAMB students but the authority of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board dismissed the claim in a statement issued on Saturday, April 18.
