Nigerian businessman and political commentator Isaac Fayose has criticised the All Progressives Congress (APC) over a video showing the alleged disruption of an opposition party’s campaign rally.
Fayose shared the video on social media and claimed that suspected APC thugs were responsible for disrupting the gathering and forcing members of the opposition away from the campaign venue.
Reacting to the footage, Fayose accused the ruling party of allegedly using intimidation to frustrate opposition activities across the country.
He wrote:
“See what APC is doing all over Nigeria, wherever other parties are campaigning, APC thvgs will come and b£at them and chase all of them away. Shame on APC. Oppositions can’t use billboards, we can’t meet in peace. Government of Thuggery and poverty”
The video has since drawn reactions from social media users, with some expressing concern over the alleged harassment of political opponents during campaign activities.
