Renowned Nollywood film critic and radio broadcaster Tolu Fagbure has recounted his experience working with Mo Bimpe.
In an interview, he described the wife of Lateef Adedimeji as unprofessional, saying he worked with her in 2018, when she thought she could show off to him.
According to him, he was working on a movie, and someone recommended him to Bimpe, and he reached out to her and sent a script. He said he didn’t get any feedback from her for about two days, and when he reached out, she said she was busy and on location.
Fagbure said he reached out to her for a second time and was shocked when she told him to narrate the script to her because of her busy schedule.
The film critic, who seems to not condone nonsense, said he schooled her, and after their phone conversation, she read the script and surprisingly reached out to him. He added that the actress’ behaviour was either deliberate or an attempt to show off.
He expressed hope that he has changed, especially now that she is married to Lateef Adedimeji.
“I believe she must have better sense now that she is Adebimpe Oyebade Adedimeji. I make bold to say it; I sent her a script. In 2018, I had a film, and someone recommended her to me, so I reached out and engaged her.
I said, first of all, let me send you the script, which I did, and I didn’t get a response from her for three days. When I reached out to her, she said she was sorry, was on a movie location, and that I needed to lock down the script. I reached out again; she said she was busy on a movie location, asked what the story was about, and told me to narrate it to her. That was unprofessional of her. I asked if she didn’t hear my name and I wasn’t one of their tacky film practitioners.
After the call, she read the script and reached out to him. I guess it was deliberate, or she wanted to show off”.
