Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has cried out to the public over her custody battle with her ex-husband.
In a video she shared online, she said her sons’ father was refusing to let the children to be with her as she wants. She said this has been her sad reality, as her boys aren’t with her and she isn’t happy about it.

Laide expressed worry about her ex’s wife, who she claimed is torturing her sons. She alleged that she heard an argument between her children and her ex’s wife’s children, and his wife told her sons to beat up her children in places where the father wouldn’t see.
The movie star added that she has evidence, noting how she has complained to her ex, but he doesn’t believe her because he loves his wife.
“I have another situation that I want to talk to you about, and I need a favour from you. I have made a couple of videos, but this one is different.
Sometimes you don’t take your problems to social media or the public; that is what people say, and that is the right and sensible thing to do.
But at some point, when it gets scary and threatening, you can’t always tell if you can find help.
I have a baby’s father, and we don’t agree on some issues; hence, we went our separate ways. But now, the baby’s father refuses to let the children be with me as I want most of the time, insisting that they have to be at his place.
This is a sad reality for me because my boys aren’t with me, and I am not happy about that. That isn’t my bone of contention; my worry is my kids being with another woman who isn’t treating them well.
There was an argument or discussion in my children’s father’s house involving his wife, some of his children, and mine. I heard his wife telling her child not to beat one of my sons, where the father would see the mark, but to rather strangle them or hold them by the neck.
Family, friends, I have recorded evidence because nobody knew I was on call. I have complained about this to the baby’s father, who refuses to act on it because he is so much in love with his wife, and he will take my kids away from me as a form of punishment.
Now, I am crying out; I have been silent for so long. I am bringing it out; all I am asking is for my kids not to be with a stepmother. This particular stepmother is a hypocrite; she has two faces. She behaves nicely when she sees you, but inside she is a devil”.
