A Nigerian woman, Hope Neche, was left fuming after Facebook Memories brought up photos from her wedding with her estranged husband.
Calling out Facebook, Hope announced that the marriage has ended.
“Make una help me beg Facebook o. Since yesterday they have been busy showing me this memory. Dear Facebook, the marriage don scatter since. Please stop showing me the memories!! Imagine waking up to see yourself like this, since morning I just dey hiss dey vex,” she wrote.
She also addressed those who hold the view that s3x and food is enough to sustain a marriage, adding that she would never be in a place where she isn’t lived and valued.
“There is something very disturbing about the way some people choose to see marriage, you tell someone about your marital challenges, and the first thing they ask you is, “Is the man feeding you?” Once the answer is yes, they tell you that as long as he is feeding you, you should have remained in the marriage,” she wrote.
“Why should you live with a man just to be fed and fucked???
“No emotional support, no love, no respect, and not even attention, and you are supposed to endure it all and continue eating!”
“Madam food, keep eating, as for me, I would rather starve than let a plate of food take a piece of my peace.”
