Nigerian media personality Daddy Freeze has weighed in on singer Davido and his first babymama, Sophia Momodu’s custody battle.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, he claimed someone close to the lawyer involved had reached out to complain about the backlash she has been facing online after Davido publicly called her out.
Freeze made it known that, though he doesn’t support intimidation, bullying, or harassment of any kind, the situation highlights a deeper issue in Nigeria’s legal system.
He explained that lawyers often use harsh language and personal attacks in court to win cases, noting that he had also experienced such tactics during his own court proceedings. The former OAP questioned why sensitive issues, referencing Davido’s late son, were allegedly brought up during arguments, describing such tactics and unnecessary low blows.
Freeze added that, although someone might win in court, social media remains the ‘court of public opinion’, where outcomes can be very different.
