A medical doctor and former reality TV star, Faith Adewale, has claimed that sexually transmitted infections (STIs) can lead to mental illness.

He explained that neurosyphilis, the third stage of syphilis, is associated with mental problems.

He claimed that a lot of mental health patients are suffering from ailments caused by protracted STIs.
