Sophia Momodu, an entrepreneur and first baby mama of singer Davido, has warned fans against referring to her as wife of the music star.

In a video broadcast, the mother of one revealed that despite breaking up with Davido, who is now married, many years ago, some fans still address her as the singer’s wife.

She explained that she doesn’t appreciate being referred to as Davido’s wife, stressing that it is important to respect people’s choices.

She emphasised that she has moved on from the singer and urged fans to do the same.

“I once met a content creator who, started hailing me as ‘mama Imade, OBO [Davido’s] wife’ upon seeing me. I was shocked because I am not his wife.

“Stop referring to me as Davido’s wife. Let’s respect people’s marriages and rules. If people have moved on, allow them to move on in peace. Allow to move on in peace. Everyone is happy and doing what they are supposed to do,” Sophia Momodu said.
