Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, has picked the trio of Marc-André ter Stegen, Thibaut Courtois and Gianluigi Donnarumma, as the best in world football.

However, the Nigeria shot stopper has stated that Donnarumma who plays for Italy and Manchester City, is currently operating above everyone else.

Okoye, who plays his club football with Udinese in Serie A, was asked to rank the finest shot-stoppers in the game.

He replied: “For me, No. 1 is Ter Stegen, then Courtois and Donnarumma.

“Ter Stegen is No. 1 for me because when I was a young player at Borussia Mönchengladbach, he was already playing with the U-19s and I always looked up to him.

“But right now, I think Donnarumma is the strongest goalkeeper.

“At the moment, he’s the best. He is on a different level.”

🎙️Jose Mourinho: “At the height of my glory, when I was nicknamed ‘The Special One,’ a young player came to me and asked, ‘Sir, how can I be the best?’ I replied, ‘Train your mind before your feet, and understand the game as coaches understand it’”
