Nigeria’s Super Falcons will look to complete a clean sweep over Senegal when both sides meet in the second of their international friendly matches at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Monday.
The encounter follows Nigeria’s 2-1 victory in the first fixture on Friday, where the West African champions showed attacking quality to secure the result despite a late push from the visitors.
Asisat Oshoala and Toni Payne were on target for Nigeria, while Sokhna Nogaye scored a late consolation for Senegal in a tightly contested match.
The double-header is part of Nigeria’s preparation plan for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) scheduled to take place in Morocco between July 25 and August 16.
Tactical preparation ahead of WAFCON
Head coach Justine Madugu is using the friendly series to assess squad depth and tactical options ahead of a major continental challenge, where Nigeria will again be among the favourites.
