Troops of Sector 5 under Operation Safe Haven (OPEP) have launched a manhunt for suspected Fulani bandits following the k!lling of a civilian in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama said the incident occurred at about 9:10 a.m. on May 3, 2026 at Kaban village.
Troops deployed at Horop responded to a report of the attack and moved to the scene.
The lifeless body of the victim was discovered on arrival, while the perpetrators had fled the area.
They added that there was no immediate trace of the attackers.
