It is a touching moment for fans, lovers, colleagues, and friends of late Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan Ogogo as he is laid to rest.
Newsunplug reported on Sunday night that the actor’s daughter had announced his death in a heartbreaking live video.
Confirming the news, Jide Kosoko said Taiwo had died at 3pm on Sunday at 66 years and will be laid to rest in his hometown, Ilaro, Ogun State. According to him, special prayers will be held at the pavilion in Ilaro in honour of the deceased.
At 10pm on Sunday, the actor’s body had arrived in his hometown in a Sienna vehicle, received by family and religious leaders, and sympathisers who gathered to pay their last respects. He was carried to the Central Mosque, Ilaro, where many gathered to honour him.
In an update, the actor has finally been laid to rest amidst tears.
Videos from the event making rounds online showed his daughters, colleagues, friends, family members, and fans in tears as they watched the actor being laid to rest.
