Popular social media activist and president of the Ratel Movement, Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has finally reacted to reports surrounding the court ruling in his legal dispute with comedian Mr Jollof.
The disagreement between the two public figures began after comments allegedly made by VDM concerning Mr Jollof’s wife sparked controversy, eventually resulting in a defamation lawsuit.
Earlier, comedian Deeone drew attention to the case after sharing details of the court’s decision on social media. According to him, the judgment ordered VeryDarkMan to pay Mr Jollof the sum of N35 million as damages.
Responding to the development, VDM took a lighthearted approach in a video shared on his Instagram page. While serving himself a meal, he mentioned that he had heard about the court verdict and appeared unfazed by the outcome.
In the video, the activist disclosed that the food he was eating was purchased from Koko Butterfly Hotel, a location he referenced while discussing the ongoing controversy. He also praised the meal, describing it as enjoyable.
Addressing the reactions that followed the judgment, VDM stated that he had watched several videos made by social media users about the case. He jokingly questioned whether Mr Jollof had borrowed funds to organize a celebration after the court ruling.
Despite the judgment, VDM maintained that the legal battle was not yet concluded. He challenged Mr Jollof to come forward and collect the awarded money while expressing strong confidence in his legal representatives and their ability to handle the matter moving forward.
His reaction has since generated fresh conversations online, with supporters and critics alike sharing mixed opinions on the ongoing feud between the activist and the comedian.
