Nigerian singer and songwriter Qing Madi has called out her former record label after her new song, “Pepper Me,” was removed from Spotify.
In now-deleted Instagram stories, she alleged that the people who tried to destroy Cynthia Morgan are trying to do the same to me. She noted how it is paining them that she didn’t give up even after they sued her for a million dollars and lost the case.
Qing noted how she isn’t the type to throw tantrums on the internet and stays focused on her music. She slammed her ex-label for taking down her song after seeing how well she was doing.
“Lol, my ex label the same people that tried to destroy Cynthia Morgan are trying to do the same to me.
It’s paining you that I didn’t give up even after suing me for 1 million dollars and losing your case.
I don’t come on the internet to complain ever. Nobody knew this one before.
All I do is keep pushing my music.
Now this babe took down kfmd record from Spotify because of how well it was doing”.
In another post, she called out Joy Tongo, telling her to let her be. She noted how Cynthia Morgan cried out and was silenced, but it wouldn’t happen to her.
“@joytongo
Leave me alone!!!
Cynthia Morgan cried and was silenced.
It won’t happen with me”.
In a third post, Madi said she would resolve it and that the song would rise. She made it clear that because she chose to keep quiet doesn’t mean she cares about protecting their image. Qing said she just wanted to do music, but they wanted to play dirty.
“I’ll resolve it, don’t worry.
The song will be up again.
Just because I chose to keep quiet doesn’t mean I care about protecting your image.
I just want to do music, that’s all.
But you want to play dirty.
I’m 19, bro.
Let me be!!!”.
