Car enthusiast and content creator, Ola of Lagos, has opened up about an experience he had early in his journey before becoming widely known in the automobile space.
According to him, he once approached a car dealership and offered to advertise their vehicles for free. However, instead of accepting his offer, the dealership questioned his level of popularity.
Recounting the experience, Ola of Lagos said:
“I Once Begged a Car Dealership to Let Me Advertise Their Cars for Free, but They Asked, ‘Who Knows You?’ Months Later, They Came Back After I Became Popular and Eventually Paid Me Millions.”
Ola’s story highlights how opportunities can sometimes come after a person has already built the visibility and recognition they initially lacked.
After being turned down, he continued working on his brand and creating content around cars. Months later, the same dealership reportedly returned to him when his popularity had grown.
This time, the deal was different, as the car enthusiast revealed that the dealership eventually paid him millions for his services.
His experience has sparked conversations about persistence, self-belief and the importance of continuing to build a personal brand even when opportunities do not come immediately.
